About Us

Swencraft is owned and operated by Eric Swendsrud

While studying at Concordia College in the 1980s, Eric learned trim carpentry from his father. He earned a B.A. in Mathematics and started his own carpentry business in 1990. Later, in 2009, Eric obtained his Master’s of Divinity from Bethel University.


When new home construction declined in 2007, Eric acquired his general contracting license. He and his brother, Jade, combined their skills to begin remodeling homes. Eric’s education and background have equipped him with strong organizational, planning, and communication skills. Being involved in every aspect of transforming a client’s home brings Eric immense joy.

A Family Legacy

Jade, Eric’s brother, contributes decades of experience to each project as the lead foreman. Brody has recently joined the Swencraft team, learning the trade from his father, just as Eric and Jade did from their father.


Michelle, Eric’s wife and our Selection Specialist, helps coordinate your desired aesthetic or style with each project, showcasing exceptional skills in coloration and design.


Beyond the Swencraft family, our team includes outstanding licensed electricians, plumbers, custom cabinet makers, and HVAC technicians.
